+370 685 31272 Having more than 20 years of experience in manufacturing of metal packaging for food application, the founders of company UAB “Tin Cap” had an idea to create an ecological, healthy, and easily-recyclable product. In 2015, a team was gathered, the company was established, and the realization of this project had begun. In the early stages of the project, a search for responsible, reliable and innovation-oriented partners was initiated. The main priorities of the product design were personal health, absence of hazardous materials, and ecology. Specialized equipment was brought in from Germany for the manufacturing of the product.
Currently, UAB “Tin Cap” has passed all the test runs, and is presently manufacturing and providing its clients with PT (“Press&Twist”) type metal caps, produced in accordance to a completely new technology. The main innovation in the PT manufacturing technology is the use of PVC-FREE granulate as a sealing material.
PVC-Free granulate (PROVALIN) is provided by ACTEGA DS (Germany). The granulate is plasticisers and PVC free. This result is achieved through the use of a TPE (thermoplastic elastomers) basis, which does not require any additional materials to provide plasticity. This technology and material is already used in manufacturing of drink bottle caps (crown caps) and TO (“twist-off”) caps.
PT type 51 mm PVC Free cap manufactured by UAB “Tin Cap” is ideal for sealing baby food and other products, such as meat, fish and other fatty and not fatty products. The cap meets all the food packaging requirements set by the European Union. The only tins and varnishes used in their production are the ones that are certified and have world-wide recognition. The inner varnish of the cap is BPA-NI.
